A man used his own feces to smear profanity onto the wall of a jail cell.

Murray spit at an officer of Bournemouth Police Station through a hole in the cell door.

The spittle “luckily” fell on the facemask of the police officer at Bournemouth Crown Court.

Annabel Hazlitt, prosecutor at the time, told court that Murray was detained following an incident which occurred in Poole.

Selon Ms Hazlitt the defendant was denied entry to his former partner’s house after he arrived drunk.

The barrister said that Murray had thrown a tile of roof through the window.

The roof tiles smashed double-glazed windows.

Murray abused the police officers when they called them.

The policeman arrested him at Bournemouth Police Station.

He wrote “and thank you” and other words in the feces he used to smear across his cell.

Later, a detention officer bent down and spoke with the defendant via the cell door.

The prosecutor stated that the windows at the property had to be replaced, and the cell for the detention needed to deep-cleaned, costing 130 PS. Murray did not comment on the matter to police.

He had 18 convictions and 11 prior convictions. His latest offence was in 2015.

Murray appeared via video from HMP Winchester and pleaded guilty on two counts of criminal damages, as well as one count of assaulting a member of the emergency services.

Griffiths said that he was “depressed and drinking heavily.”

According to Mr Griffiths, the defendant’s trauma caused his current state.

Griffiths claimed that he was just going off the rails.

Murray of Arne Avenue in Poole had been hard at work while in detention, taking courses on relationships, for example.

Hannah Willcocks KC, Recorder at the Friday 28th of July hearing, sentenced defendant to 10 weeks in jail.

She said that due to his time spent on remand in jail, he was eligible for an immediate release.

The judge did not order any costs or damages because the defendant was in jail for 79 consecutive days.
