Fayetteville Police arrested the second of four suspects in connection with recent vandalism in downtown Fayetteville early on Saturday after obtaining several arrest warrants.

The Fayetteville police department announced on Friday arrest warrants against four suspects. They are connected to more than a dozen vandalism incidents that occurred in downtown Fayetteville in the last two weeks. These include cars and buildings that were defaced by hate speech or offensive symbols. Unity Tabernacle Christian Church, located on Gillespie Street, was vandalized with vulgar symbols and language, such as swastikas, twice in the past week.

Dominic Smith (18-year-old Fayetteville white male) was booked in Cumberland County Jail on a secured $65,000 bond. He was accused of 13 counts, including injury to real estate, misdemeanor conspiracies, graffiti violations of city ordinance, and damage to personal property. Smith’s court date was set for Dec. 20, 2009.

A police report states that Raybert Robinson (a 21-year old Black man from Fayetteville) was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning. The charges against him include 10 counts of damage to real estate, a misdemeanor conspiracies and graffiti violations of the city ordinance. Smith, who was arrested on Saturday morning and released just a few short hours later with $500 in unsecured bail for his court appearance scheduled for Dec. 20, according to the police report.

Two more vandalism suspects are wanted by the Fayetteville police department.

Quantavis Moultrie is a Black male aged 21 from Hope Mills. He was charged with 13 counts including injury to property, conspiracy to commit misdemeanor, graffiti in violation of the city ordinance, and damage to property.

Gabriel Kroes is a Hispanic man aged 19 from Fayetteville. He was charged with 13 counts including injury to property, conspiracy to commit misdemeanor, graffiti in violation of the city ordinance, and damage to property.

The police mapping database shows that another downtown vandalism incident occurred Sunday at Huske Hardware at 405 Hay St. An incident report has been filed and no suspects have yet to be identified.
