Overnight, five teenagers evacuated the rooftop of an Auckland Youth Justice Facility.
On Saturday several youths forced their way through a Korowai Youth Justice Residence at Wiri.
Oranga tamariki claims that there were six individuals on the rooftop at first.
Tusha Penny said that the situation was “extremely complicated, dangerous and challenging.”

The young men who are in Korowai Manaaki have been convicted of serious crimes.
The damage that they did over the weekend will be criminally prosecuted.

The final two young people came down just after 10:30.
Mike Bush said that Oranga Tamariki’s deputy chief executive told reporters yesterday the youth had been fed and were kept warm on the roof before being removed.
In a written statement, he stated, “We should not forget that this is a group of young people, and the safety of these individuals must be our highest priority.”
